Chris Brown is known as what they call a triple threat…but now people might think of him as a violent threat!
This past Sunday was a very dark day for one of America’s most promising stars. America has looked at him as a “clean-cut” role model. Especially compared to his musical competition such as; Lil’ Wayne and Snoop Dog. Brown has always kept a good boy image.
Now, things are a little different for the artist. After a felony domestic abuse case against him brown might be in for a big reality check. His clean-cut image may be on its way down the drain extremely fast. The media has been covering this story since it hit early Monday morning and has been on a whirlwind…
Everybody just wants to know what happened and why did he do it???
Brown turned himself into Los Angeles authorities Sunday night for allegedly assaulting a woman. He was booked and released on $ 50, 000 bail: he’s scheduled to go to court next month.
The big question is…what went wrong? What will happen to his image? What will happen to his career? Well, even though sometimes the media can blow things out of proportion. When they are right…they are right. If Brown comes forward and apologizes publicly, I fell as if the public will forgive him. As well as the media!!

Like the Michael Phelps incident, the press will probably hang on to this for some time. Today, the radio was full of speculation about what happened. When this Friday's People Magazine comes out, it will all be splashed out in gruesome detail. Someone might latch on to the comment in the linked article about Brown having witnessed abuse in his own family. It's possible if some of the media outlets begin a dialogue about how abusers beget abusers, and the only way to break the chain is to get insight and help, then some good might come of all this. And not just for Brown, but for others out there who are abusing women and not seeing it as violent behavior.
ReplyDeleteWhen the news came out that Chris Brown had gone to jailed immediately Wrigley pulled his endorsement. They did not waste any time at all. They did not wait to get the full details of the incident before they pulled the pulg. Even thought he witness abuse in his family does not mean that he should do the same. If I did not hear it for myself, I would not have believed that this young man could do something like that. Only, because he seems to be such a smooth and clean cut guy. Had me fooled. But, then we don't have all the facts. I am hoping that those that are in abusive relationships will seek help. No, one deserves that type of treatment. I hope he will seek help for this disfunction.
ReplyDeleteChris Brown was a fast rising star before this incident. And this is disheartening to hear because there is a lot of kids that look up to him. Personally I feel that there is no excuse to beat a woman, so whenever we find out what pushed him over the edge that doesn't means that he should be forgiven. I would like for him to learn from his mistake and get his career on track but I doubt that he will ever get that friendly image again even though it is possible. He will still be making music but he lost a lot of fans because of this incident.
ReplyDeleteAll that is very true. Just like A-Rod and Michael Phelps, I agree with Wendy on this one. The media will be talking about this one for a while until they have all of the details and he has had his court hearing. The media will drag any situation out that we want them to drag out because it brings them publicity and viewers or listeners. He will lose a lot of fans and a lot of repsect for the music industry just like Michael Jackson did when he was allegedly charged with child molestation. Great post.
ReplyDeleteGreat post. It is sad that such a great, well-rounded guy makes such a huge mistake. As you said, his career will take a drastic turn. Yes i'm sure his fans and the media will forgive him but, it's not like he was arrested for drinking and driving, or smoking pot. He was arrested for assault, not only on another human being, but assaulted a woman. From where i stand, i don't think he should get of easy nor do i think he will. When you present a judge with a domestic violence case, especially with a woman celebrity who pressed charges (yes that's why he turned himself in) they are going to hit him hard (no pun intended.)I honestly think they are going to make an example out of him because he is a role-model for kids, not cut him a break. I guess we will just have to wait and see. The result of the trial will depend mostly upon the judges moral fiber.
ReplyDeletelike i said before, celebrities, will break. it is not a question of why or how, its when. every celebrity has a moment of mistake filled days and bad choices. they are human, glamoured- so-calle dperfect, humans. every one make smistakes, but when a idol person amkes a mistake the concenquences are dier
